Welcome To Our Animals Policy

Wright Travel permits the carriage of animals subject to the conditions below.

Pets and Other Animals

Pets and other non-assistance animals may be transported by prior arrangement, provided that:

  • The animal can be transported safely and appropriately in the vehicle.
  • The animal remains under control throughout the journey and does not interfere with the driver.
  • Suitable arrangements are made to protect the vehicle from avoidable damage or excessive soiling.
  • The animal’s presence is disclosed when requesting the booking.

An additional charge of £30 per animal, per journey, applies to pets and other non-assistance animals.

For non-caged pets, a refundable £100 cleaning and damage deposit is also required, subject to our applicable deposit and remediation policies.

Assistance Animals

Passengers who rely on assistance animals are welcome to travel with Wright Travel in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Assistance animals travel without additional charges or deposits.

Passengers are welcome to tell us about an assistance animal when arranging a journey so that we can prepare for their requirements. However, advance notification is not compulsory and failure to notify us will not, by itself, be grounds for refusing transportation. It is however highly recommended so that we can ensure your vehicle matches your requirements.

Assistance dogs should remain with their handlers throughout the journey, and they should remain under appropriate control and must not interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle.

We will provide reasonable assistance and make appropriate adjustments to accommodate disabled passengers. Any specific safety concerns will be assessed individually and addressed in accordance with our legal obligations.

Damage and Cleaning

We ask all passengers to take reasonable care of our vehicles.

Ordinary cleaning associated with carrying an assistance animal will not attract an additional charge. Any exceptional incident involving substantial damage will be considered individually, with any claim for compensation subject to applicable law and invoices for the remediation work.

Nothing in this policy overrides the rights of disabled passengers under the Equality Act 2010.
