UK-FSA Guidance:
Food items that carry an allergen risk are listed below, and where appropriate, followed by examples of common items that would be a concern. This list is from the UK Food Standards Agency. While our role is not in food preparation, to safeguard all our valued customers, we may limit the pre-trip shopping if it contains any of the following in a way that may escape and cause risk to other passengers that may be in the vehicle before you.
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, and oats) – poorly packaged/loose bread
- Crustaceans (prawns, crabs and lobsters)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk (except lactose-free)
- Molluscs (mussels and oysters)
- Mustard
- Tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Soya
- Sulphur dioxide/Sulphites (if more than 10 parts per million) – mainly a preservative in soft drinks
